The Norvise silicone bobbin cap is a great item to use to protect the ceramic tube on the end of your Norvise Auto bobbin. By using the cap and “pinching” the tag end of the tying thread between the cap and the bobbin tube, your bobbin will remain under tension while not in use or not hanging on the thread post pin. These soft silicone caps can also be cut into a short 1/16’ wide “doughnut” and used as a hackle guard to finish off a hackle collared or parachute-type fly.
